HF Architecture have a great deal of experience working on small scale residential developments for developers.

We gained planning for a recently completed site near Guildford comprising 16 completely affordable homes on a Rural Exception Site.This sustainable project is strategically designed to address the pressing local housing need while respecting the integrity of the green belt environment.

Education Buildings

We both started out our careers working on schools projects. We still have a passion for working on the building that help form young minds.

The school required eleven new classrooms and flexible drama space. Working with the school to develop a design that sits discreetly hidden from view of the Grade 2 listed house and gardens. Careful design was used to taking advantage of the existing topography to shield the new building from view. The change in levels also allowed the building to be designed for wheelchair access to both floors directly from the external paths. Obtaining planning and all statutory approvals in this highly sensitive setting.

Conservation and listed buildings

Listed buildings come with a rich history, so it’s important that any changes you make respect their character. Any maintenance work, repairs or modernisations must try to preserve the building’s integrity and celebrate its traditional features. Working on listed buildings can be incredibly rewarding. Over the years we have had the great pleasure of on many Grade 2 properties.
